Stationary concrete Batching Plant Cleaning Rules

Brief Introduction:Cleaning of a stationary concrete batching plant include that of mixing unit, discharge hoppers, belt conveyor, powder tanks and screw conveyors.

  1.10 Concrete Batching Plant Cleaning

  1. Cleaning of Mixing Unit and Discharge Hopper

  A. The stationary concrete mixer of a stationary concrete batching plant should be cleaned once it has been powered off for more than half an hour. The mixer should be cleaned thoroughly after finishing a day’s task. You can put around 500kg small stone particles in the water for cleaning so that the effect would be better.

  B. The discharge gate of the concrete mixer, kept open after each discharge practice, can be closed and opened manually to meet cleaning requirements.

  C. In case of rest for over seven days, all the measuring hoppers must be emptied and cleaned to avoid material (cement, water, additives, aggregates) solidification inside the hoppers.

  2. Cleaning of Belt Conveyor

  A. Cleaning of Rolling Tank and Rollers

Remaining materials sticking to the tank and rollers must be eliminated regularly, or else excessive amount of materials may influence operation of the conveyor (like dislocation of belt).

  B. Maintenance of Sand Scrapper

The sand scrapper of a belt conveyor must be checked regularly and replaced in time once it’s too worn to run effectively.

  3. Cleaning of Powder Tank

Before powder pumping, the vibrator at the top of the powder tank should run around 2 minutes to make dust off filter elements of the dust collector. And the practice should be repeated after powder pumping. In addition, filtration elements and safety valves of the dust remover must be cleaned periodically.

The feeding pipes of the powder tanks should be also cleaned by vibration at the same time.

  4. Cleaning of Screw Conveyor

The screw conveyor must be emptied every day after work. A weekly inspection should be carried out on running state, sealing sate, abnormal noise and oil leakage of the speed rotating box. Oil should be refilled in time, but the oil level should be below the level mark. You should check weekly whether there are sediments at the outlet and hanging bearings, and remove them if yes. You are advised to have a monthly check on the connecting state of the whole conveyor. No hard huge materials are allowed to be fed into the conveyor.
